Is there any conclusive study to prove that sex education of school kids reudces the incidence of HIV-AIDS?
There is too much hype abaout the desirability of having sex education in school kids to protect them from HIV-AIDS.
However, I have not found a single study on the internet that actually proves that sex education amongst school kids actually reduces the incidence of HIV -AIDS. Results of a few studies only are in the nature of baseles conclusions and conjectures.
Can anyone give me referencs of studies that PROVE any causal relationship between sex education in children and the incidence of HIV-AIDS?

Answer by mnvikes im not going to look for a study, youd be hard pressed to argue that increasing awareness of a preventable disease will not reduce transmission. think of some diseases they dont talk about in school. if you arent in the healthcare field, how much do you know about them and what needs to be done to prevent them? do you know as much about hiv as you do hepatitis A? how about type 2 diabetes which is an 80-90% preventable disease, that affects something like 5-10% of american adults nowadays?
transmission has slowed quite a bit in the US due to increased awareness (whtehr that be from school or other educational exposure) while it is the same or increasing in places like africa where people dont know anything about it

Do global temperatures play a role in the sex of an unborn child?
We've got another babyboom going on right now. I noticed here in Holland, nearly all the newborns are girls. I also read an article that in Greenland, ONLY girls are being born right now, and that there's a bad sex ratio with this generation of baby-boomee's. The article suggested that global temperatures could play a role in the gender of an unborn child, is this true, and for cold global temperatures during baby booms, were mostly boys born then? Does anyone know?

Off the Streets: Arbitrary Detention and Other Abuses against Sex Workers in Cambodia
This 76-page report is based on more than 90 interviews and group discussions with female and transgender sex workers in Phnom Penh, Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, and Siem Reap. It describes how sex workers face a wide range of abuses, including beatings, extortion, and rape at the hands of authorities, particularly in Phnom Penh.
This movie version was filmed on location, conveying a kind of atmosphere, a sense of space, movement, and presence hard to achieve in a staged performance shot for television. It takes the action out of doors for many scenes. The opening titles are superimposed on the bloody conclusion of a bullfight. The changing of the guard in the opening scene, with the boys' chorus playing soldier, the crowd scenes, the dance number that opens Act II, the panoramic scenery of the smugglers' mountain hideout, all benefit from the freedom granted by movie cameras. But the music is, on the whole, more effectively performed in the Covent Garden production, which also handles close-up shots better, perhaps because it was directed with a small screen in mind. The opera house atmosphere will make hard-core opera fans feel more at home. The movie version uses the opera's original opera comique form with some spoken dialogue rather than recitatives. --Joe McLellan
